Fisherman Fred

Hi there!
Back with another Inkling - Fisherman Fred...

I had to make a bookmark for Millie's brother, Zac, too!  He is a keen fisherman so Fred was most appropriate to go on his bookmark! I cut him(Harry not Zac!) out with a Spellbinders oval die and put him on a Labels 10 diecut, which I gave a wood effect to, using a Kaisercraft stamp. Some black washi tape from Papervine to embellish. Love the tape measure one - being a fisherman he might need higher numbers to measure the fish with though!

Enchanted Ella

Hi there!
I have another Inkling to show you today - Enchanted Ella......

I have coloured them in with Copics - I made a mistake though! I gave her long sleeves on her tunic! So I am just telling you she has her winter outfits on! I have put them onto Prima Tags and turned them into Bookmarks for my great niece Millie and her friend Pippa. They are all into Tinkerbell and Peter Pan, so I have put pixie dust on their wings with a glitter copic pen. Can't see the dust in the photos but it looks lovely. The sayings are from the Kaisercraft Enchanted Garden Collection. Washi tape from Papervine makes a great flat embellishment and a ribbon tie for the top of the tag.

I have made envelopes to put them in using my new envelope maker - how easy were they!! Just found the size I wanted and some old scrapbooking paper and 2 minutes later had these lovely envelopes to put them into to give to the girls!

Hunting Harry

Hi there !  After the post yesterday about the Artfull Inklings I wanted to show you the 2 cards I have made using Hunting Harry...

With the first card I coloured him in with the Kaiser Fusion Markers and fussy cut him out, put him on to a background from Kaisercraft's Sweet Pea paper pad - this Collection works well for my male/deerhunter card! I added a map button from Papervine, the flags from the Collectables and the sentiment is stamped onto a MFT tab die.

For the 2nd card I used my Copics to colour Harry, this time I didn't fussy cut him out but left him on the white card and much to my joy the Spellbinders Oval die fits around him perfectly, I could even go the next size up or cut him out with a rectangle. Again I used the Sweet Pea Collection for the background and some Papervine bakers twine to embellish.

Here is a look at the 2 Harry's just after I had coloured them in....

Coloured with Fusion markers on the left and Copics on the right.
A good comparison between the Kaiser Fusion Markers and the Copics.  I have had my Copics for a while now and love them, but after using the Fusions I found them good to work with- especially after Juanita gave me a few tips! It was interesting that on both images I got a bit of bleeding, so I have to put that down to the user not the pens! I think it is a case of practice, practice, practice!

The Artfull Inklings are now on the website and in the store to buy, as are the Fusion pens - such a good deal on them!

Artfull Inklings

Hi there! I have some exciting news about the new Artfull Inklings that Liz and the Team at Artfull Crafts have put together. There are 12 different images to choose from - and there are Male ones!!
This is the Enchanted Ella one...

Colour them! Cut them! Mount Them! Each package comes with 5 identical uncoloured images printed onto card suitable for use with alcohol markers, pens, pencils, paints, inks and more. Use them on cards or layouts, or give them to anyone who loves colouring.

Package is 7.5cm x 10.5cm. Images approximately 8cm x 6cm.

Artfull Inklings are exclusively manufactured by Artfull Crafts in Timaru with original images hand-drawn by Joe Ramage.

While up at SENZ we had a session of having a go at colouring in some of the Inklings - Ella, Juanita and I were keen to colour in with the new Kaiser Fusion Markers Liz had brought over from Kaisercraft in Melbourne. Ella and Juanita coloured in Enchanted Ella ( Ella's sample is on tag above) I coloured in Boy and Buddy.  We then got Miss Betsy to 'fussy' cut them out and we put them onto Tags and embellished them with 'Goodies' from Lowri's Papervine stall (which was next door to our one at SENZ).
Mr Madhatter coloured in by Teresa Abjao back in Melbourne

Boy and Buddy coloured in by me!

Rugby Roger coloured in by Juanita and tag embossed and inked by Robbi Bell!
So keen to have a go????  Check them out in the new product section on the Website or call into the shop and see them on display.
Happy Creating and Colouring!

Bundle of Joy Baby Card

Hi there!

A Baby card to show you today, made for a friend of my daughter's who had a baby boy a little while ago.  I used Kaisercraft's Bundle of Joy Collection.   I made the Baby Boy button with my Epiphany Crafts Tool  and used Spellbinders Label four for the die cut.

I had a great time up at SENZ with Liz and the Artfull Crafts team. It is quite a mission for Liz to pack up 2 pallets of goodies and organise all the team to get to Auckland, but she has it down to a fine art!  I also helped out on Lowri's Papervine stall and had an awesome time with all the washi tape and  other goodies. It was just like being in a sweet shop!! My washi tape collection has now grown considerably! Hence I have been googling ways you can use it and there are lots!

I have been crafting since being home, but calving has started with 2 early arrivals - both bull calves! So I must finish my list of things to do before we get too busy!

Silhouette Cameo Card

Hi there!

I have been using my Silhouette Cameo a bit and I love to cut out silhouettes from black card.
So this card has been made using a black silhouette shape.
I have also used Spellbinders 5x7 Elegant Labels four to cut out the card base and then for the frame. The sentiment is stamped on to a Spellbinders Ribbon Banner.

Best Wishes

Hi there!

Here is my card to share with you today....

I have used my Spellbinders 5x7 Enchanted Labels 28 die for the background and I hand cut the patterned paper after using the die as a template.
The awesome leaf pins and Bakers Twine are from Papervine.

I am off to Auckland for SENZ tomorrow to help out with Artfull Crafts.  Liz takes up half her shop and has a fabulous selection of Classes. So I am so excited to be a helper/gofer!
